- KEDO center is located in North west of Suleimaniyah on Malik Mahmoud Circle Street where surrounded by different settlements of apartments normal
houses in away a big population can be
found nearby from host Community, IDPs
and Syrian Refugees . In the last year program more than 1000
Youths were registered and 700 youths had attended the center and joined the sessions.
- innovate focus on reduce the vulnerability of
conflict affected youth through increased livelihood outcomes, and restore
psychosocial well-being and build opportunities for youth to access
employability skills (technical and transferable), internships, and support to
start their own businesses. KEDO center is established with the main objective
of serving as safe and public places where women, men, boys and girls of
diverse background can meet for social events, recreation, information exchange
and other purposes. The services provided by the center include the internet,
computer and language courses, in addition to vocational training and life
skill courses focusing on PSS activities for reintegration and rehabilitation
between IDPs, refugee and host community.
- Through the activities implemented (parent Session,
information Session and Drop-in sessions and feedback forms) we find out that
the program was strongly assented by the families among the diverse
communities in that area and its surrounding, therefore, KEDO could implement 4 cycles in 2 years and while there are demands by youths and the
family o continue the program, best prove for that is the visit by the parents
to register their children for future activities, and KEDO center is established with
the main objective of serving as safe and public places where women, men, boys
and girls of diverse background can meet for social events, recreation,
